In one of the first manifestations of "El Primimodernismo," the physical materials appear in the painting like bronze, gold, sand, copper, and rope. The scene is taken from the memories of the artist when she was visiting a poor neighborhood outside of the city as a community service volunteer. There Noriam was struck by the sight of a girl touching a flower. The girl enacted a moment of innocence and genuine purity, and the sight left a lasting impression in the mind of the artist.
